#1 Favorite Song: Nobody's Supposed to be Here!

What would my music blog be if I did not start off with my favorite song of all time.  I love every version fast & slow, but this Wayne G mix stands out by far.  It's hard to pick only one Deborah song as a favorite cause I really love them all!  This song became the biggest hit of her career, reaching the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 on September 29, 1998 and peaking at number-two on November 24, and number-one on Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart on October 27, 1998, where it remained for a record-breaking fourteen weeks. This record was tied in 2005 by Mariah Carey's "We Belong Together" and broken in 2006 by Mary J. Blige's "Be Without You", which spent fifteen weeks at number-one. The song also peaked at number 2 on the Hot 100 chart for eight consecutive weeks on November 24, 1998 and reached number-one on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play chart on October 13, 1998. It only reached as high as #55 in the UK singles chart. The dance remix was also a hit on the dance charts.  The single reached #9 on the 1999 Billboard year end chart!

I took this photo of Deborah performing at Divers Cite, Montreal August 2008.
